Escapades 2

The second class we taught at Making Memories Unforgettable was the 4ft long advent calendar.  It really is quite a spectacular in person with our new red flocked harlequin paper #19293 as the background and the chipboard pieces- Elements #17578 all dressed up in silver glitter!

We had a great day...even stayed longer than planned so we could get people further along on the calendar.   What a great day of creating!

Escapades

We are finally back to blogging today after a long week of traveling in AZ teaching classes.  We had fun teaching and met some really nice ladies.  We admit...the advent calendar had about 200 little pieces but we sure had a good time putting it all together.  Although I think we are still trying to get glitter out of our hair!

These are a few pictures of our classes at Making Memories Unforgettable in Tucson.  Thank you Katie and Darcy for inviting us!

Don't you just think this display for their Crop for a Cure is great?
It was even better in person!

Carolyn and Karina were so very helpful throughout the day...and it was a long one! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Part of our group for the Count Your Blessings class.  We had 2 first time scrappers in this class and they hung in there like pro's.

4 x 6 Recipe Holder

The fabulous Sande Krieger made this absolutely stunning recipe holder for CHA in July. We were stunned by the sheer amount of cards as well as the fabulous stories that she included in this piece. It was made from photo carousel index tabs in Manila, transparencies, and the clear stamp set Take Note as well as other bits and pieces.
ENJOY!

Sande wrote recipes like this...again,
using the "Take Note" clear stamp
Each recipe has a picture of the person who gave it to her (some people have more than one recipe after their name), with the persons name on the tab at the top of the card. She added a transparency over the pictures to make them stand out from the recipe pages since they all have the tab at the top. So the tabs all have either the persons name or what the recipe is; soup, salad, cookies, etc. And even more fabulous is the fact that on the back of the pictures she wrote about each person...sometimes how she came to get the recipe or why the recipe was important. All just tidbits of information that we normally don't write down or journal.

As you can see from this picture she also categorized each
section into main dishes, dessert, etc.

I knew you'd like this one!
Two more days to send us pictures of your spinner and get in on some gypsy goodies we're giving away on Friday!
