More ideas...

Ann sent us some photos of her ATC spinners (she's actually done quite a few of these). Some spinners have random family photos, but others have a specific purpose. When Ann's daughter was going to have a baby, Ann made a spinner with pictures of each of the children but then added blank cards (the cards had paper on them to match the rest of the spinner) for the new baby so her daughter could add new pictures right in with the rest of the family. What a cute idea for a baby gift!
thanks Ann for sending these!

Here's another idea:
For a 50th wedding anniversary, the children of the couple sent out 4 x 6 cards to friends of the parents 2 months ahead of the party. Each friend or relative was asked to write a little something on the card; how and when they had met or why they remained close for so long, even a funny story. They could use both sides of the card since it was to go on the revolving holder. They were asked to send back the finished card with at least one 4 x 6 picture. Then one of the daughters compiled the cards into categories; friends or family and put the picture of the person(s) in a sleeve and hung it after each card. (We would suggest to send along an extra card for mistakes) She said that it was so fun to get the cards back and read what they had wrote about her parents.
Now who wouldn't love to have that gift!

Check back tomorrow...you'll want to see this one.

4 x 6 carousel

Hello all...
Thought we might start posting some pictures of the spinners our friends have sent us. This 4 x 6 carousel is from Jan...don't you just love how it looks from above? All the bits and pieces hanging out all over. So fun.

I love 7 gypsies....and go out of my way to find & purchase your products.

I made this for my son...father's day...so it revolves around...family...

I used many 7 gypsies...stickers....love those...

What I love is double sided...paper...more of a cardstock thickness...for the strength
being on the carousel due to being looked at so often.

I would love that 7 gypsies had this to go with all the other products.

My daughter-in law said...every time I look at this...it is in their dining/living room...
I get happy....

I am now working on mine.

There are so many ideas I have for this...carousel...making some for Christmas gifts
this year too.
Out of all the scrapping I have done...I loved this the most.

lovin..7 gypsies...
Jan

Thanks Jan for sending us pictures of your spinner! We'll put your name in the drawing for some 7gypsies goodies.
Remember, you have until Oct 3rd to post a comment or send us a picture of your spinner to be eligible for the drawing. (refer to the last post)

How do you spin?

We spotted this fabulous ATC spinner on the blog of our very good friend Melani. Don't you just want to peek inside? That could be challenging since Melani lives in South Africa, but that doesn't stop us from wanting to see all the pages of her little masterpiece. We love all the things sticking out all over...it is so very gypsy!
Artist- Melani De Groot
Now, if you're reading this and saying, "what in the heck is a spinner?", we can answer that here... it's just like a mini book, but you spin instead of turning the pages. They can be large 4 x 6 size (so they fit pictures right from the developing counter)
or 2 1/2 x 3 5/8" where you may have to have smaller printed pictures.
The large photo carousel holds a lot of cards (we really mean A LOT... mucho, a gazillion). Pictures can be punched with the atc punch or fed into sleeves (easy).
The small ATC holder (artist trading card) can be used with sleeves for ATC's but can also be used many other ways. You can see some great ideas on our website here:
ideas
A small spinner can hold up to 85 cards comfortably. Remember, you want to be able to open and see what you have created. The more 3-d type embellishments on the cards, the less cards it will hold.
Anyway, back to Melani's atc holder...When we saw this picture we got to thinking... what are people using their spinners for? Does it have a theme? Did you make it for yourself or for a friend or family member? What was your favorite product and what product were you wishing 7gypsies sold to complete your spinner?

If you send us a post about any of these questions we will put you into a random drawing for some 7gypsies product. For those of you that have finished a spinner
(either ATC holder or 4 x 6 Carousel), email us a photo and we will post a few to our blog in the future, as well as put you in the drawing for the giveaway. The drawing will be on Friday, Oct. 3rd. We would love to see what you have created!

Day 6

#6. Trio Stamps

Now we know we have talked about Trio stamps before but this time they are round trio stamps! There are 5 new self-inking stamps and each one has 3 designs. We admit, they are kinda addictive...once you start, you just can't stop stamping!

Happy stamping!

Good news! If you have been following our Top Ten list then you might just be interested in this post...we are going to be giving away one of the Top Ten items!!

We will choose a post in a random drawing on the Friday the 19th, then let you know via this blog who has won and which of the Top Ten you are getting!

If you have a friend who you think might like to participate, here's the link to the gypsy journal: http://sevengypsies.blogspot.com/

Day 5

#5. Binderie punch
Since we talked about the journaling kits yesterday that need holes punched in them to make a journal, we thought today we better talk about how to do that!

From our gypsy workshop we have created the new Binderie punch. Small enough to hold in your hand or take with you to a class or on vacation. This little machine is a battery operated (so you really can take it anywhere) and is so fun to use! With the push of a button on the top of the machine it punches 2 holes, 3 1/2" apart...if you want 3 or 4 holes you just slide it down and punch again. It will punch through chip or book board (like butter). No more picking the left over book board out of the hole puncher so you can move to the next hole!! The binderie punch punches a clean hole and all the left overs can be found in a little tray underneath. So convenient! I almost forgot you can even punch 6-8 sheets of paper at a time! Making a journal just got easier!

The punch even comes with a starter kit; a 5 x 5 book, 6 pages and 2 rings.

Since we have this great new tool we needed some great new products to go with it. Not only did we do the 3 journaling kits that we talked about yesterday but we have also created 2 new board kits you will find below.

Home Sweet Home
#11067
5 x 8 1/4"
Punch holes on the sides with the binderie punch and hook together with rings or ribbon. The book stands like an accordion on a table.
Vacation
#11068
4 1/2 x 7"
This one can go together like the Home Sweet Home book or you can punch holes at the top and bottom of each panel and hang it vertically on your wall. What a great idea to showcase your vacation photos!

Hope you like the new binderie punch...we do!
(Your gonna want one of these)

Day 4

#4. 97% Complete Journal Kits (8 x 8)
Favorite item number 4 of our top ten list is the new 8 x 8 journal kits. There are three different designs, all very distinct in style and color. Everything you would need to create a complete journal. Each kit comes with 6 different 2-sided papers designs (the designs are different on the front and back), tabbed pages to use as dividers, journaling cards, pockets and a sticker sheet. These were created to go with the binding punch (which we will talk about in a later post) so that all you need is 2 pieces of 8 x 8 chipboard (for a cover), 1 journaling kit, 2-3 binding rings, the binding punch and wallah! you have a journal that is 97% complete...you just need to the add the last 3% with your pictures and stories. Did we mention the whole darn journaling kit is just $9.95? Well it is!

That's all for today...see you tomorrow when we will continue our quest for the Top Ten favorite things from the summer release.

day 3

So you probably think we forgot day 3 but nope were not going to disappoint you!

#3. Flocked Paper:
Yummy flocked paper might we add. It is very hard to show the quality and depth of this paper on line so you are just going to have to believe us... it's good. It cuts beautifully and the flocking does not come off. You can even ink the edges with stunning results. We LOVE this paper.

There are 6 different designs in two colors: brown (think coco) /blue and red/cream.
We have posted 3 papers from each collection but you can go to the home page and click on sneak peaks to see the rest of the designs.

Carolina collection (12 x 12)

Dot #19297
Floral #19298
A 12 x 12 scrapbook layout done with the new Savannah paper line and the Carolina flocked paper. You can see the distress inking on the large round circles of flocked paper. This photograph shows the paper very true to color.
Damask #19296

Now for the red and cream papers. We just can't tell you how good this red is...and you know how much the gypsies love a good red. It's almost an obsession for us.

Savannah Collection (12 x 12)

Dot #19291

So we thought we would show you...
This journal is made from our new 5 x 8 1/2" black board book #10072 (all black book board pages).

side note: the background of the paper appears 'whiter' in this photo than the real paper.
Floral #19292

Harlequin #19293
The red is really looking a little like Christmas! ...and it looks so good with black!
You know, the gypsies are always up to something.Well, that's it for today...we made it with 3 hours to spare! See you tomorrow!
