A true vintage find...

We know you love the library drawer but this week it's all about the
receipt holder at 7gypsies.

This was another one of those products that we kept finding at flea markets and fairs and collected because we just couldn't help ourselves.  We saw too many possibilities to adapt these into something fantastic to pass them up.

The original receipt holders were used by old shopkeepers and department stores to keep track of their customer's purchases.  They would slip their receipts under the spring clips labeled with the customer number. Swoon...

The receipt holder trays were stacked and mounted in these fabulous wood cases.  Sigh...

We've taken everything we love about this vintage find and turned it into another too-good-for-words product.

It has quickly become an essential in any workshop because it's so EASY to use.  Just slip your favorite photos, findings, inspiration scraps, to do lists, notes, etc. behind the spring loaded clip and you've got an inspiration board, photo storage, family message center or amazing piece of wall art.  What's not to love?

AND  we've created 3 different version for you to choose from!

The Vintage Receipt Holder has 10 clip sections and is perfect for photo storage & display, cards, recipes & more.  It comes with a hanging chain that can be embellished with charms, ribbons & trinkets.

The Small Vintage Receipt Holder has 4 clip sections~ think 4 seasons?  It can also be hung by its chain but is just a bit smaller for those of you tight on wall space... or combine a few for a gallery!

And last but most certainly not least... the ATC receipt holder!!  A mini take on the original, this comes with 12 mini clips and makes a darling display for wallet sized photos and ATC sized art.  We already are busy turning ours into 12 days of Christmas projects and advent countdowns.

These look amazing, can't wait to get one, short on wall space but will get the 4 clip one, I love the idea of an inspiration board with these like the video you showed!

The 4-clip would be great to put a favorite photo for each season. The 12-clip can be used to put a favorite photo for each month...ahhh the possibilities!!!

Wow! To see what the "original" receipt holders looked like is amazing. You guys have copied it perfectly. I love my receipt holder. The possibilities are endless and the cool thing is that everything is held in place without adhesive so you can use this product over and over again - no problem! Great idea Gypsies!

Dear 7Gypsies,

I was lucky to have won an 8x8 paddington Pad this summer from this blog, and I would like to share a couple of layouts I've done using them:
