Gypsy Pumpkins

With Halloween around the corner, we wanted to add some Halloween decor to the blog--Gypsy style! This simple tutorial shows you how to use 7 Gypsies vintage tissue paper to create chic pumpkins perfect for Halloween. Pair it with a Trick or Treat Banner (tutorial) and a Halloween Pillow (tutorial) for a complete look!

Materials:

Mod Podge

Foam Brush

Paint Brush

Seven Gypsies Tissue Paper

Tattered Angels Chalkboard-Iron

1. Before applying tissue paper to the pumpkin, cut one sheet of tissue into strips.

2.  Apply a thin layer of mod podge to the pumpkin and cover with a strip of tissue paper. Then apply a thin layer of mod podge over the tissue paper to secure it down.

3. Repeat until the entire pumpkin is covered in tissue.

4. Using Tattered Angels Chalkboard paint in Iron, paint the stem of the pumpkin.

5. Only a couple of easy steps and you've created a chic pumpkin to display for all of your gypsy friends!

Introducing Wicked Gypsy!

A gypsy’s life is made up of experiences, journeys and destinations. Through them we learn of the eclectic lifestyles of the avant-garde, the disarrayed, and the exiled. This brought a juxtaposing perspective for us gypsy's as we drew similarities amongst our ancestors and the secret society of Edwardian/Victorian Witches.

A vintage interpretation of the 31 days of All Hollow’s Eve, our Wicked Gypsy line was inspired by our love of Halloween and all the amazing art and ephemera that comes with it. Harmony journal pages - we traveled the globe to find the perfect vintage guest book and we came up short.  e decided to create the components so we could make our own.  our 5x7 harmony journal pages are printed same on both sides and designed so that you can make a horizontal or vertical book.  simply sandwich them between your favorite book covers and you have the perfect guest or memory book for you wedding or anniversary.   Guest can sign on the lines or for fun take vintage photos and give each guest a page for their photo and a little note.
